    Maria Villavicencio | Attorney

    Maria B. Villavicencio F. is a New York-based attorney with a diverse litigation and corporate background in both U.S. and international practice. 


    Currently an Associate at Jacobs P.C., she represents clients in complex commercial, real estate, and business litigation, including UCC foreclosures, veil piercing, and contract disputes in state and federal courts. Her litigation practice spans from pleadings and dispositive motions to oral argument and pretrial proceedings, often addressing nuanced issues of jurisdiction, standing, and procedural law.
    Before joining the firm, Maria handled insurance coverage litigation and contract interpretation at a civil litigation firm, and gained corporate experience reviewing commercial agreements, structuring entities, and advising clients on business immigration matters in both U.S. and cross-border contexts.
    Maria obtained her LL.M. in Maritime Law from the University of Miami School of Law, where she received a merit-based scholarship, earned a top-10 finish in the International Maritime Law Arbitration Moot, and received a Certificate of Recognition from the International Moot Court Board. She is also licensed to practice law in Ecuador.

    Maria is fluent in Spanish and admitted to practice in New York and multiple federal courts, including the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit
